“I added the ED Pig to my quiver for noseriding events when the waves are clean and lined up. I can hold the noseride for longer and get quickly back to the pocket when the wave slows down” - Edouard Delpero.

A pig shape moves the wide point back from center creating 2 distinct advantages: the broad tail anchors better in the curl supporting noserides instead of relying on the wide planing area at the front of a typical noserider shape. This smaller nose area makes pigs more responsive on the nose for small adjustments and technical nose riding.

The other effect is the hip in the plan shape; the curving of the outline in the last 3rd of the board. This creates a much more responsive turning point than the usual straight railed traditional noseriders allowing much quicker directional changes.

The Minvielle ED Pig also features a knifed deck rail in the tail to keep the thickness under your feet, but makes a super responsive rail shape to manouver a large board.

Fin(s) included: None.

Construction - TEC

Torq Epoxy Composite offers performance shapes in our vacuum epoxy layup. Vacuum epoxy uses a hand lay-up process, with a vacuum bonding process to bind the fiber to the board and remove excess resin. We have a few tricks in the vacuum process that keeps the resin content at a much better level than can usually be achieved.

What are the benefits?

We can add extra layers of fiber while keeping the overall weight down – our shortboards have 18oz of fiber on the deck and 10oz on the base – approximately double of the fiber found on most boards of the same weight.

The result is lightweight AND durability. The weight is similar to a PU but we have a lot more fiber and more layers to reinforce the rail.

How do they surf?

The performance is very direct – TEC has an immediate response that is especially good in smaller or weaker waves. In larger waves the advantage is they are a lot less likely to break.

If you’re used to PU they feel quick at first. After a few surfs, your old PU will feel very slow!

Our team rider’s report their boards outlasting their previous boards by around 2-4 times longer.

A quick note about our photos!
We use a mix of official brand images and real-life shots from our warehouse to help you make an informed decision.

That said, what you see might differ slightly from what you receive — simply because we can't photograph every possible variation.

For example, a photo might show a 6'2 board with Futures fin boxes, while you've selected a 5'10 with FCS II. Don’t worry — you’ll get exactly what you ordered.

Sometimes, small details like the logo, its placement or overall colour tones can vary slightly depending on the production batch, camera, lighting, or even your screen settings.

These are always only minor differences, and in most cases, the photos are spot on - but we totally get that buying online can feel tricky. If you ever want more details, just drop us a message — we're happy to help!
