A shorter base longer rake with flexy tip 9″ single fin designed for looser yet controlled lines on the open canvas. This is the second most flexy fin we make after the Sickle Flex. Free up your 9’0″ for turns or you could try this on mini mal shapes or even on your favorite egg or hull shapes.
About Makai Fins
From seed to sea…
What started as a spontaneous thought sprouted into a line of surfboard fins that represent our passion for surfing. With a background spread between Hawaii, Bali and California, surfing and the beach have been a big part of our family for three generations and the inspiration behind Makai Fins. As a family-owned business, it seemed very fitting and logical to connect our loves in life into a name that combined everything into one.
And that is how Makai was born.
The word Makai comes from a mix of our two children’s names, Makena and Lanikai, both named after beautiful beaches in Hawaii. In Hawaiian Makai means “towards the sea” and that is exactly where we want you to be! We hope our collection of handcrafted quality fins stoke you out to go surf!

We use a mix of official brand images and real-life shots from our warehouse to help you make an informed decision.
That said, what you see might differ slightly from what you receive — simply because we can't photograph every possible variation.
For example, a photo might show a 6'2 board with Futures fin boxes, while you've selected a 5'10 with FCS II. Don’t worry — you’ll get exactly what you ordered.
Sometimes, small details like the logo, its placement or overall colour tones can vary slightly depending on the production batch, camera, lighting, or even your screen settings.
