ROAM Day Light Funboard Board Bag

SKU: RO-B-A-DL-F-0700

€92,00
Brand: ROAM
Model: Day Light
Number of boards: Single
Kind of protection: Road Travel

This bag has features not usually found on lighter weight boards bags. Our Daylight features 5mm high density padding throughout, heat reflective material outside and wax resistant material inside. The handle is a generous padded carry handle and the strap is buckle free and removable for travelling. The zip is much longer than most other bags, extending up to the handle on one side, so removing waxy boards is easy. Tail darts enable boards to be stashed with or without fins.

These are great bags for daily use. Plus, we always put our boards in these inside a coffin bag for extra padding and to have a board bag for daily use when you get there. Our bags are cut longer so a bag will fit the board that it is labelled for. ie a 6’8 bag will fit any size up to and including 6’8. The cut is slightly wider in the tail than our Tech bag so you can chuck in a wetsuit or put your board in a board sock for extra protection.

About the size and shape

Most board bags are available in a range of shapes to suit the surfboard type: Fish, Shortboard, Longboard etc. The difference is mostly in the nose shape and width. If in doubt buy a board bag with a wider nose shape - a shortboard will still fit in a Fish bag and when carrying 2 surfboards more space helps.

A ROAM surfboard bag is designed to fit the surfboard it’s labelled for: a 6’8 bag will fit a 6’8 board. If the bag itself is 6’8” in length then it’s really a 6’6 bag. Not all brands do this so make sure you check.

Width is also key, especially when packing 2 or more surfboards.

Note also the tail shape or if there is a tail box or expanding fin area to allow a surfboard to be put in with fins. (Always remove fins before travelling by air)
