2 + 1 Fin Surfboard

2 + 1 fin surfboards use a central single fin combined with two smaller side fins, often referred to as side bites. This setup is commonly found on longboards, mid-lengths and select funboards, where versatility and control are key.

The configuration allows for a stable, drawn-out feel from the centre fin, while the side bites add hold and responsiveness when turning. It is often used in a wide range of conditions, from smaller, softer waves to more lined-up surf where added control becomes noticeable.
