FACTORY SECOND: This board is part of a limited collection of Factory Second surfboards. These boards function as intended but have a touch more personality. This personality comes in the form of imperfections in the handwork that is involved in making these surfboards. For example, the colour is not perfect, the logo is in the wrong position or there is a minor fault in the finish. In return, you get a great deal on the price. If you can live with these imperfections, these deals are definitely for you!
Imagine riding in an old Cadillac… You know how the old classic cars just seem to glide and almost float along the road? Well, that’s exactly the feel on offer with the Dusty Longboard.
This is a more retro style longboard with 60/40 rails and some traditional bottom contours to ensure the whole length of the board can be utilised. There’s some nose concave up front for the more experienced ladies chasing some hang five time, a simple rolled vee all the way through the back, and a decent amount of tail lift to assist with easy rail-to-rail turning.
The Dusty is by no means a performance longboard, this board is about getting onto waves really early, setting the line, and then feeling the trim as you cruise down the line. Optimum conditions are small to medium size waves, and it will really feel at home on a long point wave.
All Salt Gypsy surfboards have been designed and tested with the appropriate dimensions and volume allocations to suit female surfers so they can get the most out of every wave. But like any other board it can be surfed by anybody.
