Ben Aipa played a pivotal role in surfboard design, most notably through the creation of the iconic “Sting” surfboard. This groundbreaking shape changed how surfers approached turns and performance, and remains one of the most recognisable designs in surf history. His influence extends far beyond a single model, shaping generations of surfers and board design that followed.

Today, Aipa Surfboards continues under the guidance of his son, Duke Aipa, who carries forward the family legacy. While staying true to the original philosophy, the brand continues to evolve, blending classic Hawaiian shaping principles with modern refinements.
